BRONZE PATERA, 5TH CENTURY B.C.
Beautiful bronze sculpture representing a naked ephebe, feets on a palmette, arms raised seeming to support the plate.
In a very beautiful archaic style, the geometric treatment of the abdominals, the face, the knees, the fine engraving of the hair girdled with a headband is reminiscent of the monumental Greek marble sculpture.
Only the shoes could be reminiscent of the Etruscan production of the same period.
Greek art, around 480 B.C.
