Cliquer pour agrandir We will identify as such works produced in the Mediterranean from the 2nd century B.C.until the 4th century A.D., the end of the Hellenistic period until the collapse of the Roman Empire.
Born in Rome under the influence Etruscan and Greek art, Roman art itself is the result of multiple influences and varies considerably across the empire. Ceramics occupies a lesser place in the Greek world. Glass, bronze and stone artifacts have left numerous testimonies of the virtuosity of its artists.
