ATTIC RED FIGURED LEKANIS, EARLY 4TH CENTURY B.C.

Large attic red figured lekanis, decorated with two heads of Arimasps and two griffins on the lid. An ovum frieze ornates the rim of the lid. The knob is painted with ovums. 
The lower part of the lekanis is varnished black and has two side handles.

Condition : Very good condition. Light wear on the figures, pitting on the bowl otherwise intact.
