Grand oenochoe en bucchero

l'épaule. La céramique de bucchero apparaît dès 675-660 av. J.-C. dans les ateliers de Cerveteri, en Etrurie méridionale. Sa couleur noire et son aspect lustré résultent essentiellement d'une cuisson en atmosphère privée d'oxygène. Les premiers exemplaires, ornées de motifs incisés ou estampés : on parle de bucchero sottile - du terme italien qui signifie "fin, léger". Au VIe siècle av. J.-C., le bucchero tendra à s'alourdir et à s'épaissir - bucchero pesante.
